BlueSeries SMS Monitor
can monitor everything that happens on your IBM
System i (A/S400).
BlueSeries sms imageYou can monitor system
messages, message queues, message files, job, user
profiles and you can also make a conditioned monitor
session.
For instance SMS Monitor can be used to report when
a given job has been executed according to the plan.
All events can be sent as SMS messages to a predefined
GSM phone for instance to the operator on duty.
OS/400 System messages can be replied to
with an SMS message
The GSM modem makes it possible
to send answers to system messages via an ordinary
GSM phone.
Via SMS BlueNote you can reply to all messages send
as *Reply. e.g. with "C" for "Cancel"
or "I" for "Ignore".
Also more advanced functions are in-cluded. This
means that you can use the SMS function on your
GSM phone to execute programs and functions on IBM
System i (A/S400).
Also as e-mail
SMS Monitor handles more
than just SMS Messaging. The message can also be
forwarded as e-mail or as an Alternative Break Message.
Windows Monitor
Further to monitoring the
IBM System i (AS/400), SMS BlueNote is also able to monitor
Windows NT, 2000 & XP servers and workstations.
Initially SMS BlueNote is installed on the IBM System i
(AS/400). You decide which other units that should
be monitored. Soft-ware is installed on the involved
Win-dows servers or PC's.
All actions on the involved platforms are transferred
to SMS BlueNote on your IBM System i (AS/400). A filter
makes sure that only the most important messages
- e.g. a virus alarm from a certain PC - is sent
to the mobile.
The system can also monitor whether a unit is active,
and immediately send an SMS if a PC is turned off
without permission
